BSCAH Steps Up in Face of Federal Cuts
The Bed-Stuy Campaign Against Hunger served over 30,000 individuals in both May and June, showing an astounding surge in demand for our services. Federal cuts to SNAP (food stamps) benefits will go into effect in November. This will likely result in even greater numbers of visitors to pantries and soup kitchens across the city, as needy families seek to make up the difference.
