As Executive Director Dr. Melony Samuels attested, the Bed-Stuy Campaign Against Hunger has seen a much higher demand for our services since the storm hit, but has not seen a rise in donations that can match the increased need. For just one indicator, we served over 500 new pantry customers during the first half of November, which surpasses the number of new customers we normally serve in an entire month. We will be working hard to secure resources to meet the nutritional needs of these customers for the duration of the storm recovery and as far beyond as they should require.
