Hunger Hero of the Month: Justin Warner

To say that Chef Justin Warner is a loyal supporter of Bed-Stuy Campaign Against Hunger would be an understatement.

In a span of only one year, Chef Justin Warner competed on three reality shows on The Food Network and raised over $20,000 for his favorite charity organization. Justin’s first appearance was on the Food Network’s Cutthroat Kitchen All Stars, back in November 2014, where he earned $2,000. Following this, he appeared on Guy’s Grocery where he earned $2,500. This past Sunday, Justin appeared for the second time on Guy’s Grocery, and earned first place which netted him the grand prize of $16,000 – all to be donated to us!

Justin’s generosity is not just isolated to food competition shows. Off the air, Justin attends our fundraising events and has donated his time and celebrity status to help us address the alarming hunger and poverty crisis in New York City. When asked about his unwavering support to Bed-Stuy Campaign Against Hunger, Justin commented, “Bed-Stuy is where I work and live. Food is my passion and profession, yet I also know there are people out there who are hungry and in need of food. Bed-Stuy Campaign Against Hunger is serving that need, feeding hungry families and making a difference. I want to support their efforts any way I possibly can.”

We salute you Justin for being September’s HERO OF THE MONTH – and what a great month of Hunger Awareness.
