Brownsville and surrounding zip codes have struggled disproportionately from diet-related diseases like diabetes and hypertension. Educating our community on methods to grow their own food and prepare healthy meals is one of the many ways we address the disparities and combat diet-related diseases. Eastern Parkway Farm is further proof that you can grow carrots, broccoli, cabbage, and other leafy greens right here in Brooklyn! Learn more about Eastern Parkway Farm here.
